TWO Suzuki C50 Bobber Build Day 12

by admin, July 6, 2015

Untitled-1WOW that was hopefully the worst of the build, what a NIGHTMARE doing the steering bearings. I know they can be a LOT easier on some other bikes, but this one was just a giant PITA through and through. If I had known how many hours I would be working on it and everything I had to do I would have just paid $100 to have a shop do it, no joke. It wasn’t worth it by a longshot, unless you have the $250+ needed in special tools for this bike. But, it’s done, done right and They won’t have to be worried about for a long time. I got the new floorboards on and the fake swingarm off to save some more weight and make it look even cleaner!

Love your show. Just a thought … Hmmm I’m a bit concerned with you removing that frame from the swingarm for the diff. It looks like it has the function of stabilizing so the swingarm doesn’t move from side to side.

Then again, I might be wrong! But why would Suzuki put it on if it doesn’t have a function?

    • No it’s just cosmetic so it looks like a hard tail. Previous years were just hollow plastic.

Superb narration, composition, and videography. Though not the “mechanic type”, I have watched all of the Bobber videos from start to finish and anxiously awaiting the next! You certainly know your stuff, correct verbiage, product knowledge, creative problem resolution, tips and tricks. If I were in the market for a Bobber and lived about 3,000 miles closer, I would buy yours in a hearbeat — where else could you purchase a used bike with the step by step re-work on video? 5/5 Stars on this video series!!!!

I would only buy used if it came with a great service history and looked like it was ridden but maintained
