How To Front And Rear FJR1300 Brake Fluid Flush

by admin, December 28, 2015

intro1.00_04_10_00.Still002Flushing the FJR1300 brake system with new fluid is not hard but does take some time, especially if you have an ABS model. I show you the simple way of actuating the pump but alternatively you can access the battery area and jump the sky blue to black wires using the long diagnostic procedures (that varies per generation) you can google for. Bear in mind a normal flush will not 100% clear the system of old fluid, you do need to actuate the ABS pump once. The flush order is front left, front upper right – for the front circuit. Front lower right then rear, for the rear. Then hit the ABS on the rear and do the rear again.

First — thank you for all the very helpful videos. Really appreciate all the information and help.

Would it be possible to add a video that shows the actual drawing out and filling of the brake fluid (and clutch fluid), please? It would be nice to see how to use the vacuum tool to suck out the clutch brake fluid and at the same time fill the reservoir with fluid as you are drawing out out from the bottom, and show what it looks like when the old fluid is all drawn out and the new/clean fluid starts coming out.
