This is yet another simple procedure that only requires having a torque wrench, that the Owners Manual simply says ‘take it to your dealer’ to do. It will take you under 5 minutes to change your handlebar position on any Yamaha FJR 1300 and probably any other similar bike. It’s just removing two small covers, two small bolts and two large nuts. he only important thing to remember is to torque the nuts down to 47 lbs./ft after you do the bolts to 14. Covers are barely to snug. With this you can set your bars forward or back up to a 3/4″ difference for slightly different positioning if you wish. Installing bar risers takes the exact same procedure.
