Borrego thumbGreat 240 mi trek on another beautiful day in SoCal with 3 FJR’s and a Wing. Featuring spectacular desert vistas on S 22 / Montezuma Valley Road from 4,237′ to the valley floor at 568′; with return via Julian.

Anza – Borrego Desert State Park takes its name from 18th-century Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza and borrego, the Spanish word for bighorn sheep; with 600,000 acres (2,400 km2) that includes one-fifth of San Diego County, and is the largest state park in California.
