Turns out the shipping info on the Etymotic site was incorrect. If you choose USPS they don’t update the system when they ship. They still showed processing but when I came back from testing part 1, these were at my door. These are simple, plain silicone nub plugs. They attenuate 14 dB with no special features. For an additional $14 you can get a set of foam tips instead of the silicone, which *may* improve the comfort but I did not order them. Comfort wise you feel them. While not what I would call UNcomfortable, you always know they are there and after a couple hours my ears were a bit sore after I took them out. They do nothing special for the wind noise, it sounds the same as having nothing just a bit quieter. The faster you go the louder it gets. I still have the need to raise the windscreen at highway speeds to cut the noise.
