Welcome to our ride to the Lake District! This is our first jaunt into Cumbria for the new season, and we decided to head for the Langdales, especially as there was snow on the peaks. We went to the Lakeland Motor museum firstly for some lunch. After lunch we headed to Hawkshead via Lakeside. We did plan to have a look around Hawkshead but really it’s only a place for walkers to call at for supplies and refreshments. Hawkshead is a very picturesque village. As we were trialing Lynn’s new Contour helmet camera, we thought a ride over Wrynose pass and perhaps Hardknott would be an exciting prospect!
