Hurricane Irma Cleanup In Tampa Area

All in all we had VERY good luck, with the models being so wrong.  In the end our area felt Cat1 winds because the storm went so far to the east instead of a direct hit.  I had very minimal issues and am back to normal now.  Most of my area is without power for the next 1-2 weeks and just a small section of businesses are up and running here on Day 2.  Today the bad flooding of the local rivers started, but that happens after every large rain storm.  Yet every time, people go back to live in the lowlands.  Those homes will unfortunately be under a few feet of water for the next week or so again.  We had no storm surge, no catastrophic building loss.
